What this level means and how we got there
Sygeon has achieved SAP Gold Partner status. It is the next step in a collaboration with SAP that has been at the center of our work since the company was founded in 2015. For a company as specialized as ours, this is not an everyday occurrence, so we want to explain how SAP awards this status, which path took us there, and what it means for our clients.
What does SAP Gold Partner status mean?
The SAP partner program has four levels: Basic, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. A partner’s level is determined by points that SAP awards in three areas: sales of licenses and subscriptions, team competencies, and projects deployed at customers. The points are verified on an ongoing basis and remain valid only for a limited time, which is why partner level works well as one of the criteria for choosing a company for an SAP project.
How we got here
A large share of partners reach Gold primarily through sales of SAP licenses and subscriptions. We took the longer and harder route: most of our points come from team competencies and projects deployed at our clients.
The key milestone was the SAP Business AI Platform competency, which we achieved in July at the Expert tier, the highest in SAP’s partner competency framework. When we announced it, we were still an SAP Silver Partner. The Expert tier required delivered customer projects across all areas of SAP Business AI Platform, formerly SAP BTP (application development, integration, data, and AI), certified consultants, and our own solutions built on the platform and available on SAP Store. Gold is the natural extension of that step: these competencies and projects are what moved us up a level three months later.
One of the smallest SAP Gold Partners in the region
With a team of fewer than 30 people, we are one of the smallest SAP Gold Partners in the region, and quite possibly the smallest. The people you meet in the first conversations are the ones who work with you through the entire project. We combine deep specialization in SAP technologies with the flexibility that a small team allows. Across the team we currently hold 33 active SAP certifications.
What does this mean for our clients?
At Sygeon, we focus on system integration, application development, and solutions that enable efficient data flows and process automation.
If you are choosing a partner for a migration from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite, a project on SAP Business AI Platform, or a first AI deployment, including one under the SAP Business AI Partner-Led Adoption Incentive, partner level is one of the few signals you can check independently of a partner’s sales materials.
What comes next
Collaboration with SAP has been strategic for us from day one, and it will stay that way. We will continue to expand our expertise, take on demanding projects, and build solutions on SAP Business AI Platform, both for our clients and as our own products.
