Last week, Sygeon completed onboarding to the SAP Business AI Partner-Led Adoption Incentive, the €100 million program under which SAP pays partners to build and deploy AI agents, applications, and workflows for approved customers. For us, it is the practical follow-up to the SAP Business AI Platform Expert competency we announced recently. For companies running SAP, this is new territory: as far as we know, SAP has never before run a program that effectively subsidizes customer projects. That alone makes it worth understanding properly, so here is how it works.
What the program is
SAP announced the program at Sapphire in May 2026, as part of the broader Autonomous Enterprise launch, and opened it on June 15 with a €100 million commitment running through December 31, 2026. Under the program, SAP funds the delivery of AI projects by qualified partners for approved customers: activation of SAP-built AI agents and assistants, custom agents built in Joule Studio, and AI-powered applications and workflows built on SAP Build.
The funding comes in fixed packages capped at €100,000 per customer entity. The money is paid by SAP to the delivering partner for approved work. It is not a discount, a rebate, or a cash payment to the customer, and anything beyond the funded scope is a separate, normal commercial agreement between customer and partner.
Two things distinguish it from the usual vendor motion. The deliverable is a production deployment in your own SAP BTP environment, with actual usage verified by SAP, not a pilot on a slide. And because SAP covers the delivery of the funded scope, the program directly reduces what the project costs you.
How it actually works
Programs like this are usually announced with more enthusiasm than explanation, so here is the process, all five steps of it:
- Partner is onboarded. Done, in our case.
- Customer is nominated and approved. Customers are identified, invited, and approved by SAP, at SAP’s sole discretion. Partners like us can suggest a customer and prepare the use case, and we do, but we cannot approve anyone, and we will not pretend otherwise. You need to work with your SAP counterpart on it.
- Customer selects the partner. SAP connects approved customers with onboarded partners, but the final decision always belongs to you: you can engage any partner participating in the program, including one SAP did not put in front of you.
- Partner delivers. A fixed-scope engagement: discovery workshop, statement of work, build, deployment into your landscape, enablement, and a period of technical support.
- SAP funds the delivery. Paid to the partner for approved, completed work.

The part most announcements skip: step 2 is SAP’s decision alone, which means nobody, including us, can promise you funding.
Where Sygeon fits
When SAP approves your project and the question becomes which partner should deliver it, here is what you are looking at with Sygeon: a boutique SAP consultancy from Poznań holding the SAP Business AI Platform Expert competency, with our own products live on the SAP Store, including Iaso, our AI Support Assistant for SAP Integration Suite, and about twenty years of SAP delivery behind the team. We are smaller than most names you will encounter in this program. That is rather the point: you get architects and senior developers, not account managers, and the person on the first call is the person who will build your solution.
And since the choice of partner is yours, size, industry fit, and proximity to your landscape are legitimate selection criteria, not just brand recognition. We are happy to be measured on all three.
The honest caveats
Three things we say up front, because they are true. We cannot promise funding; approval is SAP’s decision alone, and the program runs on a fixed budget through December 2026 that shrinks with every approved project, so well-prepared cases move faster than perfect ones submitted late. Not every use case justifies an AI agent; a funded project still costs your time and your data, and a solution nobody uses helps no one. If your scenario is better solved with a workflow, a report, or nothing at all, we will tell you. And the program is built around production deployments delivered within its timeline, which means the partner you choose has to be able to carry a scenario all the way to go-live before the window closes. We have been through that full cycle already, from use case analysis through architecture and build on SAP AI Core to a solution running in production.
What to do next
If you run SAP BTP / BAIP and have an AI use case in mind, or want help finding one worth funding, the first step is a 30-minute call. We check your situation against the current program criteria, tell you honestly whether it qualifies, and if it does, advise on the next steps.
Approval and funding decisions under the SAP Business AI Partner-Led Adoption Incentive rest solely with SAP. Sygeon’s onboarded status does not constitute an SAP endorsement, and participation does not guarantee funding for any specific engagement.
